Why you need Managing Meetings
Very few of those who chair meetings have been trained, and observe a wide variety of styles, making it difficult to identify good practice. People recognise and respect a good chairperson, and enjoy attending effective meetings, so effective chairing leads to personal and organisational gain.
Why is it good
Managing Meetings takes every stage of a meeting, from preparation, through the various sections to the follow-up and provides tips and techniques through discussion and practical exercises (no PowerPoint). Questions are welcome throughout the day, detailed reference handouts are provided and trainer-support is available after the course.
Meetings are a part of everyday working life and sometimes seem to be the purpose, rather than the means to an end. If meetings are to meet their objectives, they need to be chaired professionally with participants contributing appropriately. However, few of those who chair meetings have any training or support and as a result time and money are wasted. This course aims to give delegates the skills and confidence to set up, run and contribute to meetings effectively.
